Weston tries to write everyday, but at times he feels the need to reflect - even on the most trivial things. During these lapses he: plays the guitar or bass, paints expressionistic abstrcts in acrylics, cooks soul food, watches movies that cause him to question reality and his place in it, makes people laugh, keeps a close ear to the subculture and all underground happenings, and thinks way too much.

Yo! Was wondering where you've been! Glad you're okay. You know, because of Carr's The Italian Secretary, I went out and got the whole Holmes kit-and-kaboodle! Loved 'em. And you will LOVE The Alienist! I've read it twice. Am waiting another few years before I can read it again... (I'm a dork, but he doesn't write that many books!)
