Hello! I am Joyce an aspiring writer. I am currently writing my first book. A book for children 8-12 yrs of age. I've always been a good teacher / trainer and I would like my book to teach the youth of today a great lesson. This is an exciting venture for me. By joining this site I hope to learn from other writers. I am experiencing some common issues as a writer. One is Creativity. I've joined sharpen the saw and I've also been reading magazine articles to help me in this area. When I watch a good movie or read a good book no matter what kind it is, I love great special effects, and the creative thoughts that go into certain scenes and acts..they leave me awestruck. But when I write, my mind seems to limit itself in the creative area. The creative bug is not fully developed. This is when I become stumped. So I need some guidance in being creative.

Just wanted to stop in and say hi and also let you know that my "Back to School" sales promotions for authors and publishers are ending soon.

it took me awhile to write my first story. i am a short story writer. i have many writing books which tell you so many different things about writing. i don't write everyday when one book says you should. i write when i feel like it. ideas also don't always pop up in my head. thanks for the comment about the mosquito story.
i read as well. i watch movies about writing like Finding Forester. I read writing books. I look around for ideas. I have an idea about a mosquito that needs blood and comes to the hopsital but sees a young girl in fear. the mosquito calms this girl down and leaves the hospital without any blood. what do you think?
good to have you hear. i am experiencing what you are going thru. i am in the middle of publishing my first book. the creative bug doesn't stick around long enough for the idea to develop. maybe we can help each other. let me know.
