Hello:
I am a retired registered nurse and my spouse,Tom, retired from casino management. We reside in Idaho in the Wine and orchard country of the lovely Snake River Valley. Marsing is a small community of approximately 900 people. Our library is small and most of the books I read are through interlibrary loan. Chris Silva, my son, spent evenings with mom reading him stories and books at bedtime. Living in Germany for many years, he continues this family love of reading to his two sons in English and German. Consequently, the eldest corrects the German teacher's English when she is instructing. Both young grandchildren are fluent in German, English, and currently learning French.

We enjoy reading, dancing, swimming, gardening, lifting weights, and long walks. We, too, rescue dogs, and have three; two of which were Chris' and understand commands in both German and English. Our other older dog is a Bernese Mtn. dog. He doesn't do well in either language, but is adept at sleeping, laying in the sun, and ignoring all of us completely. Our cat loves him and teases the other two smaller dogs. We have thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and are awaiting the third great who will arrive anytime in the next few weeks! Our youngest grandchildren are Chris' two sons. Avid soccer players. Another son living in Ohio, writes music lyrics, poetry, and paints. He has an art show coming up. I look forward to reading your books as Chris gives you an "EXCELLENT" rating. He should know.
Bye for now,
Diane and Tom
Favorite Books, Authors, Writers:
My son, also an author, living in Germany, has turned my husband,Tom, and I onto your intriguing books. Like you, I love medical forensics novels, esp. Kathy Reichs, enjoy medical mysteries, and horror, suspense. Short stories have always been a favorite, too. My favorite horror writers currently are Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child. My favorite short story author, is, of course, my son, Christopher S. Silva.

Good to hear from you and I'm delighted to hear you've ordered 'A Study in Red'. I hope you enjoy it as much as other readers have. I haven't read any of Ted Dekker's work I'm afraid, but I'm sure it must be good if you're fans of his.
I hope you're both keeping well. I'm busy getting ready for the launch of the paperback version of my sort story collection 'The Voice of Anton Bouchard' in a couple of weeks, and then for the release of my latest vampire thriller 'Kiss of Life' a few weeks after that. both of those are coming from Mythica Publishing at www.mythicapublishing.com and will be available from Amazon.
I'm also very pleased that you are finding my website interesting and hope you'll be regular visitors in the future.
So I'll sign off for now, and thanks again for ordering 'A Study in Red'.
Thanks so much for joining. Chris has been so, so fabulous to me over the years. He has so much energy and passion and compassion for writers, I seriously don't know what I'd do without him.
By the way, I just picked up my first Kathy Reichs book, but haven't read it yet, so will let you know how that goes.
Tess is a very gracious lady who was helpful to me when I was writing A Study in Red and she sent me a message which you'll see on the front cover of the book. I do hope you'll get to read my humble offering and maybe some of my other works in future. The reviews on Amazon for A Study in Red might help you decide if it's for you. You'll find a link on my page, and news of my latest books too.
The book you mention would be Harvest and is a super read. 'The Surgeon' and 'The Apprentice' are also two of her best, as is 'Vanish'.
Thanks for your friend request and I'm so pleased that Chris passed my link to you. Hope to hear more from you in the future. I hope you get to read some of my work one day, and, as you love medical thrillers, may i suggest you try some of Tess Gerritsen's marvelous works?
