I just want to thank you for the kindness of editing the story I am posting. The reason for my endless thanks is I have been trying to find some honest critiques for it for a while. However, I only received 'fluff', flattering words just to get me to read their story or to get points to post. It is not that I am not interested in what others write, I am. However, flattery does not make the story better.

I am thinking of increasing my word count to 75000. I just returned from a wonderful writing retreat, where I pumped out 5000 words in three hours without even realizing I had been in the "zone" for so long and produced so much writing. Gave me great confidence.

I have not met with my local Santa Cruz Nano group. I have been pretty house bound for the past four years with illness. But my local writing group has some people in it participating and we have cheered each other on in the past.

My husband and I each splurged and got brand new computers last month just in time for my workshop so I was thrilled. My new MacBook Pro is a dream.
