Hi all
My name is Benjamin, I’m from Southern California.
I was Goggling “short story” information and ran into Richard’s story “7 pennies”. I liked it so well I critiqued it, but couldn’t get it to him without joining, so here I am.
I’ve never...
I just want to thank you for the kindness of editing the story I am posting. The reason for my endless thanks is I have been trying to find some honest critiques for it for a while. However, I only received 'fluff', flattering words just to get me to read their story or to get points to post. It is not that I am not interested in what others write, I am. However, flattery does not make the story better.
Again thank you for your kindness, I am forever in your debt.
Thank you for your comments on the story I am writing. Yes, it is a novel, however, I am trying to write each chapter like an individual short story. I will use your suggestions and will let you know how the finished chapter works out.
I just made $799 this week working from home for google. I cant believe how easy this is. Im recommending this to everyone, check out this guys google blog makemoneywith-google.com
Sure that sounds good. Lets be sure to check in with each other mid Oct to remind each other. I have a terrible memory since I got sick. Some days I am on top of my game and others I feel like my brains drained out during the night.
I am also intent on publishing. I love the nano energy it really feeds me and gets my flow going. I am thinking of increasing my word count to 75000. I just returned from a wonderful writing retreat, where I pumped out 5000 words in three hours without even realizing I had been in the "zone" for so long and produced so much writing. Gave me great confidence.
I have not met with my local Santa Cruz Nano group. I have been pretty house bound for the past four years with illness. But my local writing group has some people in it participating and we have cheered each other on in the past.
My husband and I each splurged and got brand new computers last month just in time for my workshop so I was thrilled. My new MacBook Pro is a dream.
Thank you for your response to my story I really appreciate the time you took to give me feedback on it. First thing when I wake up in the morning (Afternoon) I am going to go through the sugestions you made with a fine tooth comb. Between what you and Chris Silva suggested I think I may be able to make this adequate story into a decent story:) Thank you again.
Thank you for the welcome. I am still finding my way around the site. I have not written a short story. I wrote my first novel with NaNoWriMo. I am in the flesh it out and revise stage 1. But i plan on writing another this November.
