Free Books - How do internet reviewers get them?

I posted yesterday on my blog about how internet reviewers get current books for review. I thought the contests for OnceWritten.com was a great way but couldn't think of any other site that provides a chance at newly released books so I didn't list it. If you think of any, feel free to add a comment to my post.

New Story of the Month Posted

I highlight a short story that I've read since the previous month that has stayed on my mind. Sometimes it's a story that grabbed my emotions but it can also be lovely phrasings. You can view this month's story at AmberStults.com.

Take care,
Amber

Hello, Amber! Thank you for your kind words about my group blog, Texty Ladies. I've had a lot of fun posting there. I also enjoyed checking out your website. May I add you here as a friend? Have a terrific day! Pamela

Last month was super busy for me - I participated in a writing challenge and wrote 31 short stories (and two unfinished ones) based on writing prompts during May. The last two weeks I've been editing/revising some pieces that I began before May so I can submit them this month.

Lol. Someone in my Odyssey class actually did write a story about a chicken that wouldn't die, which led to many, many chicken jokes throughout the rest of the workshop. So I'll leave it to him to collect that book of chicken stories. :)

Amber, thanks for your kind note about my book cover. My part of the project was what's contained between the covers, but thanks anyway.

Hey Amber--

I can't believe I haven't posted a welcome to you yet. In my mind, I think I already did it, but in actuality, my fingers never did the walking. Thanks so much for ALL of your support, here, at the old forum and in general. I don't express it often enough, but I'm so grateful for all your great input.

My best

Monica
